Citizen Journalist, Several students named the Cipayung Plus Group, there are 12 student organizations met with President Joko Widodo or Jokowi at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 23, 2022. This group felt very proud and honored to be able to meet Jokowi in person.
The meeting was attended by Raihan Ariatama (PB HMI), Jefri Gultom (PP GMKI), Muhammad Abdullah Syukri (PB PMII), Benidiktus Papa (PP PMKRI), I Putu Yoga Saputra (PP KMHD), Abdul Musawir Yahya (DPP IMM) , Wiryawan (PP HIKMAHBUDHI), Muhammad Asrul (LMND), Rafani Tuahuns (PB PII), Iqbal Muhammad Dzilal (HIMA PERSIS), Zaki Ahmad Rivai (PP KAMMI) and Arjuna Putra Aldino (DPP GMNI).
“We’ve got the positive energy of his extraordinary leadership today,” said Raihan Ariatama, General Chair of the Executive Board of the Islamic Student Association (PB HMI), He is represented this group, He said that after the meeting, Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
During the meeting, Jokowi was accompanied by National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Minister of State Secretary Pratikno.
Previously this group met with the Investment Minister Bahlil Lahadalia and MPR Chairman Bambang Soesatyo or Bamsoet on January 22, 2022.
Regardless on what’s the motive behind that meeting, as a SENIOR college student, I would like to express my opinion :
*First,* The meeting does not represent the existence of college students, activist or organizations.
Moreover , I believe the meeting did not even represent of their organization.
In the context of aspirations, the meeting was not represent for the aspirations of the college student and activist movement. The praises given by Raihan Ariatama to Jokowi did not represent of the aspirations at all,
They might have not represent of HMI, especially the HMI MPO (Organizational Rescue Council).
As far as I know, HMI is college student organization that always look at and kept watching social and political dynamics from the perspective of Islam.
Give praise to this evil regime that proved unjust to Moeslims, like criminalizing scholars/Ulama and activists, They’re (Regime) even caught me twice in 2019, Handing over the sovereignty of the people to foreign parties, they want to increase power for three periods with the mode of postponing elections, and among other things … It’s clearly not the character of a college student fighter !
The Leader should be in the interests of the Ummah/People, and only oriented to the based on perspective Islam.
College Student movements and aspirations should be the same as the people’s movements and aspirations .
Now People in Indonesia thinking so hard on how to find the most effective way to evaluate the regime’s performance without waiting for the 2024 election. Notably the pioneers of the people’s movement are ARM ( People’s alliance sues ) Led by Daeng Wahidin also as a President of PPMI, Babe Aldo, Muslim Arbi, Menu, Ida, Deasy, Leny, Ita, etc.. There is also National Figures like Rocky Gerung, Syahganda, Jumhur Hidayat, Ferry Juliantono and Andrianto Humanika.
By this evil regime there are so many policies that make People in Indonesia feel miserable and suffer. For example : covid 19 pandemic policy, the IKN project, insisting on postponing elections, three-term discourse, criminalization of ulama, activists and even places of worship, also criminalizes the way Muslims worship, kill innocent people, Corruptors and true terrorists are maintained by the regime, high food prices, hard to get cooking oil and many more other reasons to evaluate regime performance.
I would like to say, the meeting of a few college students who came to the palace did not represent the interests and aspirations of the People
I also instruct and emphasize to the college students who are still idealistic and loyal in this fight, Don’t be strengthless just because of the political maneuvers of some students who are looking to take advantage from the regime, they want to become politicians with using the almamater jackets.
Again, what they do does not at all represent the aspirations of College Students and the People.
*Secondly,* This kind of meeting in the midst of the country’s downturn is truly an ironic and it’s very betrayal of the student fight. It is not feasible, and it’s a shame if students sell their ideals just to make a small profit.
In the dialectic of the student movement, I always try to remind the students and Ummah / People about the importance of synergy to make changes for the better movement.
Students who come to the palace have injured honesty, truth and justice. And everyone can see it with very easily.
I have to tell the truth and I have to advise my junior students so that my obligation was finished to advise and remind them to return to the right path.
*Third,* The meeting with the students in the palace is a sign of the regime’s restlessness.
This Evil Regime continue to create a good image in order so that they can maintain their positions.
I believe for all of these signify that this evil regime will be end soon, insyaallah.
It’s written in Qur’an, Allah Said :
قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ مٰلِكَ الْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِى الْمُلْكَ مَنْ تَشَآءُ وَتَنْزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّنْ تَشَآءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَنْ تَشَآءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَنْ تَشَآءُ ۖ بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Say, “O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent.
[QS. Aal-i-Imraan 3:26]
That’s why I’ve told and will always telling to the People, although the stench of betrayal is very repulsive, We have to stand and never give up . Indeed, behind difficulties there must be ease.
And in this article I want to say to the regime :
“You can hide the truth but you can’t cheat the truth !
You can act and pretend like you have the support from many people but you can feel the anger of the People ! And their anger is like a ticking time of bomb ! “.
